Review:

We had a very nice stay at Torre del Cornone in the beautiful village of Fontecchio. Alessio made us feel very much at home, showing us around, giving information about the village and the beautiful surroundings.
The Torre is a very romantic place to stay, so quiet and with a lovely view on the valley.
We can very much recommand Torre del Cornone, ideal for an active (hiking) or relaxing stay, enjoying the beauty and friendliness of the place.
Thank you Alessio and good luck for the future.

We spent three most interesting and relaxing days in Fontecchio and the surrounding area. Alessio is a charming and informative host (with excellent English) and gave very sound advice on restaurants and places of interest (including the idyllic local 'pagliare' - mountain grazing lands). We were also fortunate to experience a high quality concert in the local church. We had a memorable stay in this lovely village. Thank you, Alessio.

Review:

We had a great time during our 6 night stay in La Torricina - which is a small, perfectly formed and very interesting place to stay. The village of Fontecchio was very vibrant and we had several high quality musical events to go to during our stay. Alessio was a great host and made us extremely welcome informing us of places to visit and unusual events in the area. We were very fortunate to be invited to take part in a memorable meal with Alessio and Luisa's friends before a jazz concert on one evening which included many very tasty dishes.
The views from the gardens are fabulous and we saw many birds from an unusual viewpoint - from above. We also saw deer and a group of wild boar in the fields beneath us from our vantage point.
There are many nice places to eat in the area with 2 restaurants within walking distance.
The 2 main national parks of Abbruzzo are within an easy drive - Majella and Gran Sasso. We particularly enjoyed Gran Sasso and would say that this is a must see area for any visitor.
We hope that the other rooms will soon be available for rent following the earthquake in 2009 so that more people have the opportunity to experience this superb place to stay.
