Our heating system consists of an innovative burner fed with wood chips (from firewood collected in nearby controlled forests), and refuse of processed olives or grapes (grapes pips remaining after must extraction). This system has a minimum environmental impact and is integrated with a set of vacuum solar panels, which are able to cover all hot water requirements during summer months.

A large cattleshed has been turned into a classroom for training courses and meeting room with twenty seats. The room is provided with slide projector, computer beamer, and overhead projector. Heating is ensured by a modern wood pellet stove.
As soon as the last restoration works are completed, we will start recovering the old terraces supported by dry stone walls, which follow the steep slope under the town walls. They will host small gardens, where guests can relax and pick up fruits and vegetables. In the garden around the tower, it is possible to eat and have some drinks outdoor, under two nice pergolas with tables and benches.

Guests will be able to rent bicycles for pleasant rides in the surroundings. The centre will be provided with a large library specialized in landscape subjects, local culture, environment and environmental education.
