The sea is only a short drive away (approximately 10km). Here, you will find beautiful sandy beaches for each taste. Some are natural and untouched and others are in proximity of seaside resorts, which allow you to have all their comforts (restaurants, bars, beach-volleyball fields and more), were you will find schools offering you to learn windsurfing or sailing.
Pescara is the largest town in the region Abruzzo and is stretches along the coast. It is a modern Mediterranean town, famous for shopping and an active nightlife. During high season discos, clubs and bars are not only open in town but also along the Riviera, directly on the beach. The harbour and its surrounding determine the historical centre of Pescara, full of restaurants and clubs.
Founded as a village of fishermen. This is why the cuisine of fish has a long tradition and can be enjoyed in local restaurants on the coast, next to original Italian cookery and renowned local wines. A must to visit and close by, are the numerous roman and medieval villages of the region Abruzzo, like Città Sant'Angelo, Atri, Penne and Loreto Aprutino.
