Il Bivacco del Parco

In collaboration with the artistic factory “THE ART OF MAIOLICA”, ceramic courses of starting and specilizing level on shaping and painting techniques are organized.

A typical course takes place during the week-end, with arrive on Friday evening and carrying out on Saturday and Sunday. On demand you can attend courses on most of one week-end.

The course also includes a tour of Castelli and a trip to S. Donato church.

 

In the farm, moreover, are organized courses of bread-making, painting en plein air and officinal and aromatic herbs.

The farm takes part to the plan “School in Factory”, reserved to the classes of primary and middle schools.

 

In the surrounding areas there are several possibilities of excursions and mountaineering on the mounts of Gran Sasso. In half an hour by car you can reach the beatiful plain of Campo Imperatore, surrounded by wonderful mountain tops, with entrance to the paths that lead on the tops; the delightful Adriatic coast; Campotosto lake.

 

Particularly interesting visits are: Castelli with its very precious artisan workshops, the beautiful villages on the mountains like Castel del Monte (famous for the excellent sheep's milk cheese called “Canestrato”), Rocca Calascio, Santo Stefano di Sessanio.

Travelling towards the sea, there are Atri, with the marvellous Romanesque cathedral, and Civitella del Tronto, a very suggestive medieval fortress.

 

Not far from the holiday farm is also the famous San Gabriele sanctuary, in Isola del Gran Sasso.
