Il Pino Grande

The oldest part of the structure, at one time the rural dwelling of the owner of the entire manor farm, called Citula, is now broken up into smaller properties; it can be traced back to the XVII century and includes extensive additions and modifications dating back to the first half of the 1800s. During that era the region, which had been subject to the feudal rule of the Carafa family - the dukes of Andria and counts of Ruvo, was privatized and came into the possession of important people or representatives of the agrarian bourgeoisie, who built their summer homes here.

With due respect to its ancient architecture in local stone (the restoration work was well directed by Engineer Natalino Petrone of Corato), the building is composed of a ground floor with two lounges, a reception area and breakfast or lunch room, and a larger dining room which can comfortably seat up to 44 guests. All of the dining areas together can therefore seat up to a maximum of 70 people.

The upper levels, which are also accessible by the elderly and partially disabled by way of an elegant elevator (home-lift), are made up of 7 bedrooms, two of which are very large and allow for the addition of cots. There is also a sort of suite available (a bedroom and large sitting room with a bath attached) which has a private terrace that is almost 180 m². Various rooms are equipped with private baths, TV (upon request) and air conditioning. Hospitality is completed by the availability of a room with a small bookshop and two lounges.

All rooms are heated and most are equipped with period windows and door frames and family furnishings from the last 6 generations which lend an intimate and welcoming air to your stay, one of the main goals that the agritourism hopes to accomplish.
