The agriturismo
Just 4 km from Alberobello, lying on a gentle slope and immersed in the countryside designed by stone walls and trulli, vineyards and wheat fields alternating with woods, the farm is the ideal place to spend a holiday in total relaxation.
The farmhouse, a few steps from the most famous places in Apulia, is built entirely of white stone, irregularly shaped, with a central body from which all the surrounding areas develop.
Let yourself be enchanted by the winery and the vineyards, with the possibility of visits , tastings and food and wine experiences.
The accommodation
The restaurant, guest rooms, cellar, and the wood-burning oven all surround a courtyard, the hub of life in the past. The original stall has been converted to a dining room using strictly traditional methods and materials and making use of the wall niches, which were the original feeding troughs.
The agriturismo offers speciality foods and wines from the Apulia region: for breakfast traditional preserves and home-made biscuits, for lunch or dinner traditional local delicacies for hors d'oeuvres based on vegetables, cheeses, traditional orecchiette pasta, broad-bean purée, meat-based main courses; the wines include Primitivo red and Fiano whites from Valle d'Itria and Locorotondo, all strictly produced on the farm.
The farm, which is composed of three adjacent structures, produces wine, wheat, barley, oats, animal feeds, fruit and vegetables, in an estate covering 150 hectares. The herd of milk cows is the main livestock business, accompanied by the production of beef cattle, sheep, pigs, boar, poultry and other farmyard animals. The extensive woodland provides a habitat for horses and donkeys.
Activities and surrounding
Located in the middle of the countryside and surrounded by acres of woodland, the farmhouse is a short distance from Alberobello, one of the world's most romantic heritage sites, famed for its stone trulli.
There is a panoramic trail of around 3 km through the woods, with a series of fitness stations dotted along the route. A short distance from the farm guests can visit the Zoo safari of Fasano and the Castellana caves (10 minutes by car), the city of Ostuni and the towns of Monopoli and Polignano a mare.
