This farm house is placed in Salento, a land rich of ancient traditions: handicrafts, authentic cooking, music and dances. Its nature is represented by the land which still conserves grand natural treasures: the marshes, the coastlines, which vary from the Adriatic to Ionio; the landscapes of the Serre; the carsic phenomena; and moreover, one of the most important flora of Italy. Its art and history are represented by: the many remains and signs of the long and tough history of the Salento region; the castles (Corigliano, Copertino, Lecce); the rupestrian churches; the early Christian crypts; the Baroque churches (Lecce, Galatina, Gallipoli); the rural architecture; the dolmen and menhir; the numerous archeological areas (Ugento, Patu', Roca Vecchia, Porto Badisco, Muro Leccese); and the museums (Ugento, Lecce and Maglie).

Some activities are available: outings by boat to visit the grottas of Santa Maria di Leuca, on foot or on horseback amongst the olive orchards and Mediterranean vegetation. Courses: diving courses, cooking, and archeology courses. Many religious festivities take place in the Salento, usually including displays of local products, the tasting of typical foods, music and traditional dancing. Amongst the numerous music festivals, the most well-known is the Notte della Taranta which takes place in August at Melpignano and the swords dance at Torrepaduli, during the San Rocco festival. 'Il mercatino del gusto' at Maglie cannot go unmentioned, where Pugliese wine and food-tasting can be explored amongst the courts, squares and gardens.
