The agriturismo
Surrounded by age old olive trees, in the heart of the Salento region, amidst dry stone walls and the typical Mediterranean maquis, the agriturismo is situated a few km from the sea and is fruit of painstaking restoration of an old farmhouse, today used as tourist accommodation.
Guests can purchase farm produce inside the agriturismo, taking the fragrances and flavours of Salento home with them.
The accommodation
The old rural complex, restored and equipped with all modern comforts, boasts traditional Lecce stone and offers standard rooms, suites, two-room apartments and bedrooms for the disabled, all with bright panoramic balconies, private bathroom with spacious shower cubicle, LCD TV, air conditioning, heating, safe and Wi-Fi.
Every morning a buffet breakfast, offering sweet and savoury food, is served according to the special requests of guests.
The family-run restaurant offers typical Salento cuisine, prepared with produce from Coi Roberto farm (oil, wine, vegetables, pulses, fruit) from starters though to dessert.
Salento cuisine is simple but imaginative and tasty: products such as pasta, bread and cakes, like other local dishes, are generally homemade.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is well integrated and respectful of the surrounding environment. That’s why it promotes agri-botanical activities and sustainability awareness, dance and play as well as sports activities, craft workshops and research support.
In low season, groups of school children come to spend a day in contact with nature, admiring the open-air museum that is preserved and protected by the agriturismo.
