The agriturismo

Situated in a small valley, 2,600 m from the sea, the agriturismo offers guests the chance to spend a relaxing stay in an old converted farmhouse, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees.

The farm’s main business is the growing of mushrooms, used in a multitude of recipes, in particular the delicious Cardoncello mushroom, and the production of quality oil.

The accommodation

4 rooms are available, with an independent entrance and furnished garden; as well as an apartment sleeping eight with two bathrooms, and a large covered terrace with a view over the Ionian Sea.


The food served in the restaurant is based on local traditional country cooking, and uses products grown on the farm.
Next to the dining room, which is housed in an old hayloft, the guests can relax in a wooden gallery built around a centuries-old olive tree and a gazebo which enjoys fantastic views, the result of redevelopment of the old farmyard, where banquets and outdoor events can be organised.


In the farm shop fresh or processed mushrooms can be bought, as well as vegetables, the farm's own cured meats, conserves, jams and marmalades, vegetables preserved in oil, olive oil, liqueurs, and eggs.

RIDING ACTIVITY IS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED

The farm riding school offers licensed guides to participate in horseback riding tours along old trails, admiring the beautiful scenery.

For beginners, a "Western Riding" riding course taught by qualified personnel is available, with a license issued. The course includes general notions of grooming, saddling and unsaddling the horse, lessons in the field, motor activity exercises, and rides in the open countryside.

Within a few kilometers you can visit castles, the town of Rocca with the Wax Museum, the Archaeological Park of Sibari, the National Archaeological Museum of Metaponto, and Pollino and Sila National Park.
