Dating from the 1800's, the masseria was transformed by Giuseppe e Totaia Matarazzo di Licosa, who has lived there since the 80's. Today, Pietrachiara is a charming country house with an intimate and relaxing atmosphere.
Pietrachiara's cuisine is imaginative, derived from a combination of traditional family recipes and mediteranian flair.
Meals can be served outdoors in our gazebo where the menu is predominantly local cuisine, including fresh, home-made pasta and desserts.
The rooms have been decorated with particular attention to detail, such as terra cotta flooring, original stonewalls and fireplaces, and wood beams showing.
The rooms are all unique and large, with a view of the surrounding countryside, garden or terrace.
Guests can go bike-riding on our estate and enjoy the countryside. Other facilities available include a large swimming pool, two tennis courts and a small football field.
A pathshaded by old oaks leads to the swimming pool, which is spacious enough to allow each guest their own private place.
