Podere Prasiano

Prasiano sits in five hectares of land with two old buildings, one for guests and the other for agricultural purposes.
The buildings have been sympathetically restored maintaining the typical architectural features of rural Modena. The façades are in local stone framed with artisan handmade bricks. The roofs preserve the wooden and brick structure with a mantle of original tiles. The internal ceilings are partly vaulted and partly in wood and terracotta.
Particular attention has been paid to energy efficiency; the outside walls are eco-friendly insulated with natural fibres and lime; the underfloor heating is obtained by renewable energy using  woodburning stove and solar systems. Rain and underground water are collected and recycled for irrigation purposes.

Inside the main building there is a reception area, a product display room, communal space, a dining room, the library and there are six excellent guest bedrooms.
The choice of furnishings for the rooms reflects a country style with simple yet essential lines.
Outdoors the fields are sectioned off with stone walls and beds of roses and lavender while the terraced areas around the guest house provide excellent space for quiet dining, reading or contemplation.
The Country House has a limited number of four en-suite bedrooms to ensure tranquillity and discretion for your stay. All four boast superb views across the valley, all are accessible with stairs and/or lift and all come complete with the following comforts; private bathroom, TV LCD satellite, WiFi internet access, hairdryer and safe.
The terracotta tiled floors and the majolica coverings are all handmade.
Furniture is chestnut wood whitened by craftsmen.

Breakfast is usually served on the outside terrace and is Continental style with fresh fruit, jams, juices and honey of Prasiano production, excellent home-baked cakes, and the gastronomic specialities of the Emilian Apennines such as hams, salami, other pork cold cuts and local tasty cheeses.
For guests, there is the possibility for lunch or supper in the Country House with prior notice.
A short distance from Prasiano, there are restaurants, large and small which offer local and inter-regional dishes.
The pool is in a panoramic setting and measures 6m x 14m (20ft x 45ft); it has a dedicated safe area for children, and is heated with skimmed edges.
The pool overlooks the surrounding orchards and meadows. Relax with nature’s scents, colours and sounds.
