The agriturismo

The agriturismo is located on a farm of about 10 hectares in Sant'Eufemia (between the villages of San Cassiano and Strada Casale) nestled in the Romagna hills. It is the result of a project that combines the farm, breeding animals and growing crops, and the agriturismo as a showcase for local produce. A distinctive feature of the agriturismo is the restaurant, where guests can taste wines and sliced meats from the Parma and San Daniele Consortia.

The accommodation

The agriturismo is a renovated old rustic house, with great attention paid to the details and the materials used. Local stone, brick and handmade tiles, Tuscan terracotta, ceilings with wooden beams and solid wood doors and window frames are the raw materials used in a renovation whose main purpose was to preserve the original or typical local architectural features. The building is, therefore, the result of a constant search for functional and technological solutions that do not distort the environments or the materials used. There is wi-fi in the bedrooms and common areas, and a photovoltaic system that produces 40% of the energy required. All rooms have independent heating and air conditioning as part of a renovation that has taken advantage of natural, local materials, with attention to detail.

An interesting, striking feature can be seen at nightfall, where once again it is easy to find the flavour of ancient materials. All the lighting fixtures have, in fact, been designed to make the evening atmosphere relaxing. Brass lanterns have been installed outside along the access road and in the adjacent green areas. White in-ground spotlights bring out the centuries-old mulberry trees. Lamps set in the river stone walls light the way along the roads and paths.

The agriturismo has 4 rooms with private bath in the converted old barn, each bearing the name of a season, furnished with simplicity and taste, but equipped with modern comforts. Some rooms have extra beds to accommodate up to 4 people.
