The agriturismo
The agriturismo is located in the picturesque village of Slivia, in the green stony ground of the Karst plateau, among vines and olive trees. 5 km from the sea, 20 km from Trieste and 40 km from Slovenia, the estate enjoys breathtaking views of the Gulf.
The agriturismo owes its name to the “Castelliere di Slivia II” – known as “Gradec” in Slovenian – a prehistoric structure formed by stacking stones which stands near the agriturismo.
The agriturismo is run by a family with a decade of experience, and offers all the comfort of a new, eco-friendly construction with excellent facilities, a whirlpool swimming pool and comfortable apartments – the ideal combination for a carefree holiday.
The accommodation
The 5 guest rooms, some with private swimming pool access and all with sea views, comprise double beds, safes, satellite TV, bathrooms with showers, and double sofa beds with tables; three are suites with kitchens and kitchenettes with ovens, fridge-freezers and tables and chairs, and two are deluxe twin rooms. One room is suitable for disabled guests.
As well as a beautiful garden with swimming pool, loungers and umbrellas, guest also have access to private parking with automatic door opening, spacious terraces with tables and chairs, free Wi-Fi, a communal lounge and large terrace for meetings and banquets, lunches and tasting, and a living area with sofas and a TV.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is located on the slopes of Castelliere di Slivia, close to beautiful nature and monuments: the Duino and Miramare castles, Trieste, the karst caves — the Slivia Towers, the caves of Škocjan ( a UNESCO site) and those of Postumia, the Grotta Gigante (Giant Cave) – the famous Rilke trail, the Isola della Cona nature park, the Val Rosandra canyon, the green stony ground home to Lipizzan horses, the Repen Carsic House and the Štanjel fortress, routes to discover the history of the Great War, food and wine (the famous “osmizze” cellars on the Karst Plateau, land of wine and rural life), cycle tracks and hiking paths.
