The agriturismo

An historic farm with ISO9001 certification, mainly specialising in the production of fine wine (18 hectares of vines). The microclimate and exposure are perfect for producing the farm’s full bodied wines, which are sold all over the world and have won awards and recognitions from some of the finest sector periodicals, such as Wine Spectator and Decanter. The estate is part of the Vine and Wine Park in the “Colli Orientali del Friuli” region, 15 km from Udine.

The accommodation

The main house contains 4 small apartments surrounded by the peace and quiet of the countryside. All apartments are tastefully furnished and include air conditioning, TVs, telephones and wireless Internet.

There is also an additional apartment in the nearby hamlet of Castello d'Arcano, perfect for families with children and pets due to the surrounding expanse of green space.

The farm works hard to ensure its methods are as eco-friendly as possible: its corks, its paper labels and its cardboard packaging are all recycled, and the farm uses lightweight bottles for reduced emissions during transport. The farm also collects rainwater and uses solar panels, and the cuttings from its vines are used for heating.

Activities and surrounding

The eighteenth century villa has been completely renovated to create a wine cellar with a barrel store and bottling room. The historic stone walls and the original beams can still be seen.

As part of the educational farm, guests can learn about the different phases of wine production (with tasting and pairing suggestions): depending on the season, there are a wide range of activities available for both children and adults.

The farm is in the ideal location for quick access to the coast of Lignano Sabbiadoro, Grado, Trieste, to mountains (Tarvisio Alpi Giulie and Dolomiti Carniche), to Udine and Gorizia, and to artistic pearls such as Aquileia and Palmanova.
