Located in the heart of the Lazio Maremma, only 7 km from the Montalto di Castro beach, it offers the opportunity to spend restful days in a large house surrounded by the green countryside. The archeological sites of Vulci and Tarquinia are only 20 minutes away. The Saturnia and Viterbo spas, Capalbio, Monte Argentario and the Marina Velka golf course are just a short distance away.

This is an old Maremma farmhouse with the characteristic red color and typical side portico. The name is a result of the fact that it was the command post of the French army during a fierce battle fought in 1798 against the Bourbon army. Afterwards it resumed its role as a farm for the Tenuta Giovanna agricultural company, now a modern center of advanced agricultural production for products such as: cereals, asparagus and medicinal herbs like lavender and hyssop.
The owner's apartment located on the upper floor has been reserved for the agritourism's guests. Made up of three comfortable bedrooms, it is decorated with antique furnishings and offers a magnificent view that extends from the surrounding countryside all the way to Monte Argentario.
The large lounge, with a balcony, offers the opportunity for quiet, relaxing evenings and is equipped with an LCD TV. The completely equipped kitchen/dining room also has a color TV. During the evenings from the portico you can "breathe the cool air" as the farmers once said before there was television, to stay "awake".
