The farmhouse is situated in a zone extremely favourable to move towards places of historical, artistic and naturalistic importance in Tuscia, such as Tuscania (necropolis of Norchia and Sutri) and Viterbo, city of Etrurian origins (traces of the Etrurian settlement can be detected on the hill of the Duomo among the rests of an impressive perimeter wall). Among the Medieval jewels of the city there is the San Pellegrino Quarter, in the city centre, a typical example of land of the thirteenth century.  The 3rd of September of each year there is the transport of the Santa Rosa Machine and this is the principal Viterbo festival.  The machine is accompanied through the city centre up to the Santa Rosa Sanctuary. It is a very exalting event, unique for its beauty. Among the Tuscia jewels we recommend also the sixteenth century Villa Lande, built just outside the ancient village, at Bagnaia (4 kilometres far from Viterbo), that constitutes one of the most relevant creations of the Italian late Renaissance; and also the Sacred Wood of the Orsini at Bomarzo (only 15 km far from the structure), one of the most important places for the architecture and history of the Italian landscape. This is a park of about three hectares, where a series of fantastic structures modelled on huge volcanic rocks have been created in order to create a garden of delights, full of innovative works of art embedded in the sinuous green architectures of a typical Italian garden. Among the majestic palaces it is worth visiting Palazzo Farnese in the town of Caprarola and the castles of ancient feuds of Vasanello, Orte, Vignanello, Soriano nel Cimino. Do not miss the patron feasts and festivals dedicated to local products which are held throughout the year in many villages located a few km from the farmhouse. Other nice places are the lakes that are nearby, including Lake of Vico and Lake of Bolsena, on the edge of the village of Montefiascone with its perched old town. Moving to the area of Umbria, just 19 km from the property, there are the centres of Narni, Amelia, Orvieto as well as the impressive Marmore Falls in Terni.
