Loc. Usurana,1, 19020 Calice al Cornoviglio (La Spezia)
The farm is situated on the hills of the 'Val Di Vara' valley, very close to the Cinque Terre, it offers hospitality in rooms, local wines, dishes and other products made only with organic ingredients produced in the farmhouse.
The name 'I Due Ghiri' in Italian means 'TWO Dormouse': these two were found still asleep by the workers during the refurbishment of the farmhouse in the winter of 2001. The farm, which occupies almost 16 hectares, is situated on the hills of the 'Val Di Vara' valley, very close to the Cinque Terre in Liguria, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy famous everywhere for its fantastic local products such as olive oil, pesto dressing, home made pasta and bread and many others.
The agritourism has got a restaurant too, but the kitchen is not a real restaurant. Gaia e Stefano, “i due ghiri” (the two dormice) prefer to define their restaurant as “a kitchen for friends”. What you get on your plate comes immediately from our garden: vegetables and organic fruit, olive oil, meat from the farm, bread, homemade pastas, desserts and marmalades. All this forms the basis to prepare every day some simple, but tasty meals. Every night we share this meal, while sitting on a long table with our friends all together. That’s the greatest pleasure!
There are large double and quadruple rooms, with private bathrooms. In addition, there are apartments available.
There are plenty of interesting and beautiful places that can be visited the atmospheric >Cinque Terre, the enchanting Poets' Gulf , the fluvial park of Magra-Montemarcello born that offers endless opportunities to spend whole days in pleasant and alternative ways, Val di Vara, Lunigiana, recommending to visit Pontremoli, the town of books and the Bancarella prize, the village of Filattiera and the parish church of Sorano, the small towns of Mulazzo and Montereggio, Bagnone and its surroundings, Fivizzano, also called the Florence of Lunigiana, and the village of Verrucola, the castle of Fosdinovo, and so many other sights.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.

This agriturismo is located in a rural area that is very close to the cinque terre. The farm is beautiful with lots of animals for the whole family to enjoy.
The fruit trees were producing, the lavender plants were covered in bees and butterflies.
A beautiful location.
The reviews are true...Gaia and Stefano are wonderful people. Gaia speaks good English so communication was easier.
The food was quite good and we all enjoyed dining with the other guests.
Unfortunately we cut our stay 2 days short because of the accommodations. We understand that the agriturismo experience is different to a hotel but we didn't think it would be this minimalistic.
The room was basic at best. The bathroom was tiny, there was no coffee in the room, even no drinking glasses for water.
Just beds and towels.
We bought some grapes for a snack and they were covered in ants within a couple of hours.
Our short stay is a reflection on the accommodation and nothing else. Gaia and Stafano couldn't have been more courteous.
All in all it ended up being cheaper and much more comfortable to move to a 4-5 star hotel in the Chianti region rather than stay at the agriturismo.
Lovely conviviality with common meal (including the owners who make the animation): very pleasant moments beautiful hillside position and full nature (farm animals) room a little narrow (no air conditioning in our room contrary to the description of the Site agriturismo.it - ??no mosquito nets). Good location for the 5 land, Portofino, Porto Venere.
