Country House Sant Angiolino
Urbania (Pesaro e Urbino)
- Traveller rating:
Ideal for those who love strolls in the countryside, excursions on foot or by mountain bike, historical or natural sites of interest, but also for those who appreciate the good cooking and want to get acquainted with the traditions of Marche, or simply for those who want to pamper themselves and just kick back and relax and recharge themselves in this corner of the Marche region where a true sense of balance between industry, reserve, elegance and tradition is in charge.
The structure is situated in a strategic location in the Valley of the Metauro at a crossroad of art, culture and nature. A few kilometers away you can find jewels of rare tourist and cultural beauty.
Urbania, the ancient “Casteldurante” is known throughout Europe for its ceramics of the Sixteenth century: still in our day in the shops they revive the vibrant original glaze colors and style of the unique ceramics, and today in fact, Urbania is one of 28 Italian communities documented as 'town of ancient ceramic tradition'.
Urbino, notorious for its history and architecture and its individual harmony, is a town universally known to be the gem of the renaissance.
Sant'Angelo in Vado, the ancient Metaurense Tiphernum of the Roman period, with numerous palaces from the renaissance period, to mention a few Palaces Fagnani, Mercury and Grifoni.
Mercatello sul Metauro, with its valuable natural and architectonic beauties like the Church and the Art Gallery of San Francesco, the Sanctuary of Santa Veronica, the ducal Palace and the Gasparini Palace.
Cagli, situated halfway between the Mountains Catria and Nerone, outstanding for the Public Palace, the Theater and the “Torrione of Francesco” by Giorgio Martini.
Acqualagna, known as the capital of the truffle, where in the immediate neighborhoods the “Throat of the Candigliano river” is found, one of the most imposing and evocative of the central Appenine.
