Cascina Langa

In a wonderful position in the hills between Langhe and Monferrato, covered by wine yards, woods and fields, Cascina Langa is an ideal house for country holydays in Piemonte (and also an ideal departure point for famous Liguria’s beaches, less than 1 hour by car). Staying at home, in the wide, peaceful green spaces of the cascina, woods, prairies, you can walk, trek, and discover the zone in mountain bike or quad (there is a comfortable renting service that brings them at Cascina). Children can play in the grass and in the woods, as well as in the small football camp. According to the season, you can harvest mushrooms, chestnuts, hazelnuts, flowers, wood for fireplaces… If you like to cook, you can use barbecue or try to make pizza or bread in the old oven; but Cascina Langa is also a nice place for lazy people, who like to relax at the sun in the grass or in the terrace.

At 4 km by car, in the middle age village of Monastero, there is a sporting centre with tennis playground, big football camp, swimming pool, and also a very qualified horse riding centre providing equestrian ride also for children with ponies.

The surrounding hills are full of small old villages where you can discover art and historical treasures and excellent eno-gastronomic specialities. In few minutes by car you can reach Roccaverano, Olmo Gentile, Mombaldone, Denice… with their ancient castles, Romanic towers, rural little churches, middle age walls and narrow alleys. The area is also famous for Taverne and restaurant with typical delicious piemontese dishes and wines, many of them recommended by Gambero Rosso and Slow Food guides. You can discover bio farms and traditional wine producers, where you can taste or buy bottles (Dolcetto, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, etc.), cheese, honey, honey, salami, etc.
In 15-20 minutes you get to Acqui Terme, an old little pretty town with famous ancient thermal water where you can enjoy the health and beauty spa. In a short distance you can visit other small famous cities of Piedmont, like Asti, Santo Stefano Belbo, or Nizza Monferrato, and in 1 hour you can reach Torino.
