The farm forms part of the Agricola Carlotta and Rivarola Estate whose central nucleus is in the “Grillano Castle”. This, together with the vineyards, the rural buildings and the cellars constitutes the type of hamlet which characterizes the habitat of its namesake.
Situated in the municipality of Ovada on the crest running along the Ovada-Grillano-Guardia-Cremolino ridge and set amongst the hills at about 300 mts. above sea level this estate has been dedicated by three generations to the cultivation of vines (mainly Dolcetto, besides Barbera, Cortese and Chardonnay) and wine production methods in keeping with ancient traditions. This activity is furthered by letting apartments.

The Locanda, a rustic /country styled building dating from the 18th century has been perfectly renovated. It can accomodate a maximum of 10 people in three apartments (two two-bedroomed + kitchen and bathroom and a one-bedroom with bar area and bathroom): Artemisia, Bardana and Colchic, with all modern conveniences and perfectly furnished.
The building also has its own private swimming pool.
