The agriturismo
Theancient farmhouse of Cascina San Martino is nestled in the vineyards ofAlto Monferrato, a World Heritage Site, the territory of the well-known wines Moscato, Barbera, Dolcetto bordering the Langhe, and is just a few kilometers from Acqui Terme, Asti, Alba. Very close by, in Canelli, are the ancient historic wineries that can be visited by great producers called Cathedrals of Wine.
Guests can taste the house wine (a Barbera d'Asti D.O.C.G.) and buy local products, such as honey, vegetables and fruit (in season, of their own production or from local farms).
The farmhouse has a spa, swimming pool, a large garden that ensures spacing between guests, a vineyard, a hazelnut grove, and a 15,000-square-meter park.
2 apartments are for couples, 2 for families.

The accommodation
Inside a typical Piedmontese farmhouse, adjacent to the winery and vineyard, are the guest apartments, rentable weekly, each with its own entrance, large living/kitchen/dining room, large bedroom and bathroom. Air conditioning.
The garden with its equipment (sundbeds, armachairs, tables, solarium, ...) ensures spacing between guests.
The farmhouse can accommodate a maximum of 14 people.
In detail:
SOUTH APARTMENT The Pool
The apartment faces south. Very bright, with ground-floor entrance, directly from the garden, near the pool. The kitchen is superbly equipped and the living room with 2 armchairs and a fireplace for evenings in the cold months. There is a piano in the large bedroom and designer paintings on the walls. The colorful and comfortable bathroom has two sinks and a shower. Apartment for 2 with possibility of extra bed for child. Near the pool, under the patio is the reserved table for outdoor dining.
WEST APARTMENT The Romantic
It is located on the west side of the farmhouse, on the second floor with a private staircase leading to the large terrace overlooking the valley and our park. The terrace is covered by a sliding curtain and is furnished with a kitchen with sink and dishwasher and a table for outdoor dining. The indoor kitchen is super-equipped with two armchairs for the living area. A hallway leads to the bright bathroom with a view, two sinks and a large shower-for-two. The romantic room is furnished with rugs and antique furniture. Apartment for 2 1 people because one armchair in the living room becomes a comfortable single bed.
EAST APARTMENT The Poggiolo
On the second floor, on the east side of the farmhouse is the private staircase leading to the covered loggia furnished for eating outside, overlooking the garden and pool. The comfortable kitchen and living room are superbly equipped. A small hallway divides the bathroom, with shower, from the comfortable master bedroom furnished with carpets and antique furniture. The bedroom leads to the second loggia furnished as a living room overlooking the vineyards. A second corridor leads to the second large room with 2 extra single beds. Apartment for 2 to 4 people.
DEPENDENCE La Dépa
A detached house located on the other side of the pool from the garden. An open-plan space with a loft. Kitchen has 9 burners and griddle/grill, two sinks, extendable table. Living corner with sofa and two armchairs. A double bed on the ground floor, in area made discreet by a bookcase separating it from the living area. On the mezzanine a second double bed and a sofa that can become the third double bed if needed. The terrace for outdoor dining has a view of the valley, vegetable gardens, goose pond and our park. PLEASE NOTE: It is an open-space with no doors, everything exposed except the bathroom. There is no privacy for the night but for a family on vacation it should not be a problem. Air conditioning. House for 4 or 5/6 people.
In each apartment the guest will find a welcome kit: coffee and Nescafé, tea, butter, jam, sugar, bread, cookies, mineral water, coarse and fine salt, dishwashing liquid, sponge, kitchen cloths, as well as the complete kitchen kit (pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutlery, kitchen equipment).
Also available is parking inside the property, which is completely fenced off, swimming pool with equipped sunbathing area (from Easter to harvest), garden and park populated by animals such as peacocks, lapwings and pheasants, small parrots, fish and turtles, chickens for fresh eggs, ducks, cats, a dog.
Activities and surrounding
TheAlto Monferrato area is characterized by vineyards and teems with villages that offer festivals and festivals with tasting of typical products (such as truffles and renowned wines), music evenings, and antique markets.
Situated on the border with the Langhe, the area is ideal for hiking.
There are also trattorias, restaurants, and wine bars in the farm's surroundings; in Moasca you can also admire an ancient castle halfway between Nizza Monferrato and Canelli with a restaurant and roof garden inside.
Small paradise among the vineyards of Monferrato, 4 accommodations with kitchen, park and SPA. For people looking for relaxation in a familiar and well-kept environment. No restaurant.

Nucci & Franco's caring attention was very appreciated. Wonderful region to discover. Ideally situated (close to many villages), Casa San Martino is definitely a place we recommend (clean, neatly maintained, friendly and relaxing) and full of friendly animals.
