La Piazza

Founded in 1973 by a pioneer of the sector, Michele Dafarra, the agritourism arises on solid bases, by inheriting wine inclination from Chevalier Giuseppe Dafarra, who bought La Piazza dei Signori Cassanello di Genova Farm in the 60s. From those days onward Dafarra family will manage the farm and the agritourism who have reached the third generation.
Located over 200 metres above sea level and plunged into Basso Monferrato striking scenery, the agritourism has been offering a service characterized by hospitality and genuineness for over 32 years. It also spreads out along an upland with a panoramic view and overlooks the over 16 hectare-estate, which is basically a wine farm.
12 elegantly rooms that were renovated according to a kind of elegant and essential style are available for guests; they are provided with international level comforts.
The agritourism offers a menu which reflects the typical Piedmontese cooking: simple and genuine characterized by peppers grilled by “bagna cauda”, roast sauce “plin” ravioli, egg Tajarin with porcine mushrooms, Piedmontese mixed fry, mixed boiled food “bunet” and some courses revised by the chef Josè.
The restaurant provides complete wedding services, buffet banquets, work breakfast with lunch and dinner upon reservation.
Wine and local products tasting small room. For the most romantic evenings the facility provides an elegantly renovated private and cosy small room.

Dafarra's wine-shop
Historical wine-shop dating back to XVII century, with tuff infernot, nowadays scene of multiple activities among which 'sinoire' snacks, thematic evenings, theatrical and musical events. Production wine-shop: since 1960 Dafarra farm has been producing typical Piedmontese wines among which you will be able to find Barbera and Grignolino d'Asti.
