The agriturismo
The farmhouse is located in the lands of Monviso, an area that has been recognized - by UNESCO - as the Monviso Biosphere Reserve under the MAB (Man And Biosphere) project.
Located between the city of Saluzzo and the fortress of Cavour, the slopes of Mount Bracco behind it allow it to enjoy a very special view.
The facility is set among orchards of apple and other fruits in a hilly area and includes an artisan workshop for making jams and fruit juices . Throughout the year of you can visit the cultivations and particularly during the period of fruit harvesting, you can participate in the harvest itself.
The accommodation
The recently renovated farmhouse offers hospitality in three apartments with different characteristics.
Il Forno is made from the original core of the farmhouse, built in the early 1900s: kitchen-living area, large double bedroom with a loft with two beds and bathroom with shower. The room's furnishings have maintained original colors and shapes with attention to comfort. Very bright, from its windows and large balcony you can enjoy the surrounding panorama.
The Court directly overlooks the courtyard of the farmhouse and occupies the most recent part of the entire structure: kitchen with spacious living area, connected with the covered terrace equipped for dining, a bedroom with harmonious colors with exposed beams and loft. Bathroom with large shower.
The Barn, arranged on three levels, occupies the space once dedicated to the shelter of hay and wood. The rooms, connected by an internal staircase, are bright and functional: on the ground floor is the living area with kitchen, bathroom with ante-bathroom; on the second floor is the living room with sofa bed; on the second floor is the loft with double bed. Stone walls and exposed beams give the apartment a mountainous, rustic yet elegant atmosphere.
La Finestrella is the master bedroom with private bathroom. Furnished in a modern style, this room needs all the comforts. Equipped with a private balcony, the peculiarity of the room are the windows of the old barn, maintained in the renovation; the name "La Finestrella" comes from this detail.
The Orchard is the innovative loft overlooking the entire Bargiolina orchard. With its large open space it enjoys ample light from both sides of the apartment. The Orchard is furnished with elegant wooden compositions, including the kitchen, dining table, and bed. The kitchen area features the old stone wall for an elegant yet rural living room.
All apartments are organized for a comfortable stay, in full autonomy; both for those who want a private place and for those who want to experience a vacation in the company of families or friends. The large spaces of the kitchens allow aggregations in a single environment of several people, and the common areas - indoor and outdoor - favor aggregative moments.
Agricola Bargiolina is equipped with an oven - original to the old structure - and a barbecue, with which guests can organize barbecues in the company or cook tasty courses and pizzas in the wood-fired oven.
Activities and surrounding
The surroundings are rich in art cities and tourist destinations such as Saluzzo and Pinerolo, both 20 km away.
The Po Valley and Cuneo valleys allow for sporting and cultural activities: from visiting the ancient Staffarda Abbey (10 km) or the monks of Prad Mil to Monviso, whose unmistakable peak offers trails for all levels (both in winter, with snowshoes, and in summer). Ski facilities in Limone Piemonte, Sestriere and Crissolo at the foot of Monviso.
A few kilometers away, in the village of Barge there is the possibility of numerous walks, climbing, rock gyms, tennis courts and a riding school.
Stores selling typical products and restaurants of various levels are within easy reach, with advantageous agreements for farmhouse guests.
