The agriturismo
This family-run agriturismo is ideally located between the Valsesia and Valsessera valleys, near Lakes Orta and Maggiore. Nicola, the owner, transforms the farm produce, serving a wonderful selection of delicious dishes. He is assisted in the restaurant by his wife, Elisa, who provides a warm welcome, ready to tell you all about the dishes on offer. And you'll meet little Sofia and Sara too.
The agriturismo is part of an educational farm, which as well as growing vines (Bonarda, Vespolina, Nebbiolo, Erbaluce) and vegetables, also produces fruit, available for sale on site, or used for making jams and other sweet treats. The free-range barnyard animals (geese, chickens, capons and hens) produce high quality, wholesome meat.
The accommodation
The guest rooms all include spacious bathrooms with showers, as well as TVs, mini bars, air conditioning, heating, desks and free Wi-Fi.
The restaurant, born from a passion for nature and good food, uses ingredients grown or produced on the farm (vegetables, meat, fruit) and serves typical rural Novara cuisine, wholesome jams and “sweet and sour” compotes.
Activities and surrounding
The educational farm (with classroom) offers tours for schools, families and disabled guests, a wonderful way to discover nature, farming, the animals and the crops, and to learn about biodynamic farming, healthy eating and how the produce is processed.
The agriturismo works in partnership with another farm, L'Antica Bellaria Ranch, so that guests can enjoy pleasant horseback excursions. The surrounding area has much to offer, from fun and culture to fine food and wine. Be sure to visit the seventeenth century Crocifisso di Boca Sanctuary, Lake Orta with the Sacro Monte and San Giulio Island, the vineyards of the Novara hills, the Pombia Safari Park, the La Torbiera Wildlife Park, Lake Maggiore, and the Ondaland Water Park.
