The agriturismo
With scenic views of the surrounding valleys, the agriturismo is located in the Piedmont commune of Villadossola, born from a passion for winemaking.
In collaboration with other nearby farms, La Cantina di Tappia also produces cured meats, fruit, vegetables, meat and wine, speciality produce available for guests to enjoy in the agriturismo's restaurant.
The accommodation
This family-run, restaurant-only agriturismo stands in 4000 square metres, including the restaurant itself – which seats 40 indoors and 30 outdoors – and the wine cellar, where guests can taste wines produced from the estate’s terraced vineyards. The farm also grows fruit and vegetables, and rears donkeys and laying hens.
Three different qualities of wine are produced: Chardonnay (white wine), Merlot "Barbarossa" (a red wine made in barrique barrels), and Nebbiolo Prunent "Ul Cantun" (a DOC Valli Ossolane Nebbiolo Superiore red wine, also made in barrique barrels).
