The agriturismo
The estate is found in a small rural hamlet 250 m away from the sea and only 60 km from Messina on the Tyrrhenian coast in Sicily. There are five accommodations nestled in nature on the estate and all enjoy a splendid view of the sea and the Aeolian archipelago. It’s a place of tranquility, accessible only to guests, who have at their disposal tropical and seasonal fruit, olive oil, and many vegetables from the garden.
The accommodation
The hamlet has been recently renovated, but the materials of traditional artisanry, the stone walls, and the ceilings with chestnut wood beams distinguish the accommodations with the charm of ancient homes, rendering the spaces warm and inviting. The homes, all independent, overlook the sea and dominate the shore below from about 60 m above sea level.
Villa Eoliana is a panoramic villa located in the heart of an estate; it can comfortably host 4 guests in a double-bed room and in a room with two sleeping accommodations (bunk bed). For 2 more guests there is a sofa bed in the living room.
Casa Draco is the largest accommodation, and can host 4 guests: 2 in a comfortable double-bed with private bath and 2 in a double room on the mezzanine; 2 more guests can stay on the sofa bed in the living room. There is also a second bath and a spacious kitchen.
Casa Cafisi is characterized by a spacious covered patio that enjoys a lovely view of the Aeolian Islands. It can host 2 people in the double-bed room, plus 2 in the living room thanks to a large sofa bed. Separating the two areas is a kitchen unit and a bath.
Casa Pagliera can be reached by a staircase in brick and stone, which leads to a large panoramic terrace and a covered patio, exclusively for guests in this residence. It can host 4 guests, 2 in the double-bed room and 2 thanks to a large sofa bed in the living room. There is 1 bath.
La Scuderia is an "open space" (with a double-bed, a living space, and kitchen unit) whose patio, which overlooks a garden with hibiscus flowers, hydrangea and bougainville, has a lovely view of the sea and the Aeolian Islands.
Activities and surrounding
Guests have the chance to pass their free time on the private beach (over 1500 sq m) and waterfront (over 60 m). The sand is fine grain with some pebbles, whereas the water is famous for its transparency and bright blue color. The seafloor is level for some meters, so children may play and swim safely here.
Snorkeling is also available: guests may explore the spectacular underwater, with a rocky and colorful seafloor that starts a few meters to the east.
Guests are entitled to beach umbrellas built by hand in wood and palm leaves, along with comfortable lounges.
Near the beach there is a panoramic terrace with bar, welcoming guests in shaded areas for a snack or light meal. Here you will find: a ping-pong table, a beach-volley field, floating lounges, safety devices, canoes (for 1 to 2 guests), and showers.
The agriturismo is located in a strategic position; various art attractions are about 100 km away. Don’t miss the ruins of the city of Tyndaris with its Greek Theater and breathtaking view (in the summer there are many wonderful performances here), or the Mosaics of the Roman Villa of Patti.
Moreover, splendid cruises to the Aeolian Islands can be organized on catamarans.
