This agriturismo is located on the Tyrrenean shore of Sicily, enclosed in the gulf between Tindari and Milazzo, and is part of the Municipality of Furnari, a small hill center in the province of Messina about 145 meters above sea level (north side of Monte Croce, foothill of the Monti Peloritani). This agriturismo was born from an initiative of the farmhouse owners who, to enhance and restore the ancient 19th-century splendor of the master house of one of Sicily’s most beautiful courts in the area, have given life to a place able to offer quality accommodations and cooking, established on the enhancement of the rural traditions and peasant culture of Messina. At the agriturismo La Camelia feeling at home is the rule, not a luxury.

The ancient farmhouse offers 10 comfortable rooms, each characterized by elegance and sobriety, and carefully restored and furnished. All the rooms, furnished in rustic style but also elegant, have a private bath with shower, mini fridge, air conditioning, color TV, and telephone. Each room offers a splendid view, from the hills to the sea. Single and triple bed rooms are available.
The Restaurant unites wholesome products and traditional specialities, which is its strong point. The cooking, inspired by simplicity and tradition, enhances the colors and flavors and follows the seasons, with a selection aimed at highlighting local products. From appetizers and pasta to fish and meat as well as desserts, all the ingredients come from this farm or other local farmers so that guests may experience the true flavors and scents of Sicily. Typical dishes are reinterpreted both in preparation and presentation, with a careful selection of wines. You may also choose the house menu, with a sampling of appetizers, two pasta dishes, and an entrée with side dish, plus fruit or dessert, or you may choose from the main menu with particular meats. If requested beforehand, you may also select from a rich fish menu.
