C. da Malavita, 97017 Santa Croce Camerina (Ragusa)
At a few kilometres from the sea built in 1902, is located in the south-east of Sicily with a wonderful landscape framed by sea and rich in stretches of carob, almond, olive trees, near many tourist attractions and cultural and naturalistic sites.
A dry-stone wall driveway and two characteristic age-old carob trees, located at the entrance to the Casale, in front of a huge ancient portal, welcome the visitor. Here, in the 'baglio', there's a table with chairs, a big sunshade and, under the roof, a barbecue and an outdoor kitchen.
Inside the house there is the characteristic brick kitchen, connected to a large living room by a fireplace. Through a flight of stairs, you can reach the wooden intermediate floor, overlooking the living room, with two bedrooms.
The house is well furnished, thanks to the owners' good taste who, with some characteristic touches and some ancient furniture, enable the visitor to live the real Sicilian atmosphere of old times without forgoing today's modern comforts.
Near the farm there are a lot of interesting tourist sites, which have become famous thanks to the TV series 'Il commissario Montalbano'. These are: the Donnafugata castle, Ragusa Ibla, Modica and Scicli, which are all appreciated for their Sicilian Baroque architecture, belonging to UNESCO.
And also: Siracusa, Noto, Agrigento and, in a couple of hours, you can even reach Malta.

We stayed here for a week and most definitely didn't want to leave ever again. The host is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!
We spent only two nights here during our tour of Sicily. The accommodation was very comfortable and tastefully renovated. It is in the countryside and in the evening here, silence reigns. Even though we left in the morning, the owner gave us the freedom to decide what time you leave the facility. Freedom for breakfast: in the kitchen there was everything you need to prepare a classic Italian breakfast (milk, coffee, biscuits, yogurt ...) We were really good.

We stayed in this delightful farmhouse in May 2016. It is no longer a working farm but has been tastefully restored to give wonderful secluded accommodation for a vacation. The hosts Loredana and Guiseppe were welcoming and available to assist with any questions we might have. We loved the accommodation with the enclosed courtyard.
A car is a necessity with the local supermarket some km away in S Croce Camerina, the famous baroque towns of Ragusa, Modica and Noto within reach (9 kms) for a day trip and in the other direction seaside resorts close at hand. Be aware that the coastal plain has swathes of plastic coated greenhouses full of fruit and veg, which means the views are obscured.
We recommend this property, so long as seclusion is your choice of holiday. One comment of caution is that both we and the other guests found the venue difficult to find. Our satnav took us 5km away, however, Guiseppe soon led us to the farm once we had made contact. The venue is not signposted.
