To know this landscape better, it advises to walk to the natural reserve of the river Cassibilewith its mouth and the gold-coloured beach. Or to the "Due Bolle?, a small natural beach embedded between two sandstone cliffs.
At its far end you can find a dense forest of acacia tress. Close by the famous freshwater springs rise, a karstic phenomenon related to the river Cassibile.

In the immediate surroundings you should not miss out on visits to the natural reserves Pantalica, Cavagrande del Cassibile and Vendicari. The baroque towns of Noto, Avola and Palazzolo Acreide are extremely worth seeing.
Also worth a visit is Syracuse, where visitors can follow in the Roman-Greek footsteps and discover the Greek theatre, the ?Ear of Dionysus?, the catacombs, ?Castello Maniace? and the Island of Ortigia. Moreover, it recommends a visit to the fishing village of Marzamemi, the ?tonnara?, the historic factory of the local tuna fishermen, in Portopalo di Capo Passero with its superb beaches, the beaches of Calamosche and Marinella, and the medieval village of Buccheri at the bottom of the steep slopes of the Iblei mountains.

Moreover, the whole coastal stretch of the province of Ragusa with the beaches of Punta Secca, the famous setting for the TV programme ?Commissario Montalbano?, invites the tourists.
