The agriturismo
The masseria joins the peacefulness of the countryside with an enviable position for anyone who wants to explore eastern Sicily: caressed by the sea, only a few km away, and facing the Etna, our agriturismo is only 20 min. away from the airport of Catania and very close to the detour that connects Siracusa, Catania, Ragusa, Modica, Noto.
Our organic farm extends for circa 15 hectares, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and splendid landscapes. The garden is perfect for relaxing, while the dirt trails and roads are excellent for walking or bikes (rentals onsite).
Here we also organize Sicilian cooking classes, both individually and for groups.
The accommodation
We opened in 2008, renting some rooms in the manor house. Since then parts of the masseria have been renovated: the former hayloft now offers comfy rooms furnished with the family’s antiques. The stables are now a common hall where the owners offer traditional Sicilian cooking.
Instead, what has remained is the warm family-style hospitality, organic farming of oranges, veggies and herbs, as well as our organic extra virgin olive oil. The food we serve is attentive to local producers, focusing on meat but also vegetarian and vegan delicacies.
