The agriturismo
The farm produces fruit, red wine, olive oil, mushrooms, vegetables and extends over 2 hectares of land. Four cottages equipped with every comfort and a panoramic view. Facilities: private bathroom, hairdryer, a kitchen on the patio, two bedrooms. Breakfast is usually served in the outside and on request, it is made of fresh fruit, jams, juices and honey produced on the farm, yogurt, homemade cakes and all the gastronomic specialties, the first salt and fresh ricotta cheese produced on the farm. Upon request, guests can dine. The menu is traditional Slow Food, and are used only ingredients produced on the farm or coming from small workshops and local farms. Large parking area for tents and eight camper pitches with electricity and water connection.
The accommodation
Gna Ciccina is one of the four houses sisters. It is located in the countryside among olive trees and close to the San Lorenzo beach, the natural reserve of Vendicari and Marzamemi. It has two bedrooms, a double and a single with two beds. Outside, a patio with kitchen, barbecue in the living area. In the structure there is a shared swimming pool. In the common areas, as well as other sanitary facilities, you can find the plunge pool, barbecue, games for children and much more. And it's possible to directly collect seasonal fruits, vegetables, lemons, oranges, almonds, olive trees, medlar, mulberry, persimmon, pear, carob, water from the well (or take it from the tap). After you can relax in the pool, gazebos or in the hammock under the orange tree.
Children will learn about traditional games and local stories. We would like to do many activities together like baking the bread, make homemade cheese, learn the typical cuisine, introduce you to the traditional work and listen to the traditions of the elders of our friends. The property is located about a kilometer from the oasis of Vendicari, near a sheepfold there you can take goat or sheep's milk fresh from the cow. From the countryside you can reach within a few kilometers Noto, Avola, Ispica, Rosolini, Siracusa, Modica and Ragusa. Natural faunal reserve of Vendicari.
