The farmhouse is situated on a sunny plain in the little village of San Giacomo around 800 mt. above sea level, in Val di Sole. The Valley is situated in the west of Trentino and four impressive groups of mountains surround this region: the famous Brenta Dolomities, the Ortles Cevedale group with more than 100 perennials glaciers, the Adamello Presanella group with peaks reaching above 3700 mt., and finally the Maddalene group of mountains, it are a symbol of the still pure and unpolluted mountains. The torrent Noce runs through the Valley is the centre of world canoeing - a real paradise for all those who love this sport.
The Valley is partly comprised of the Stelvio National Park which is the largest protected area in Italy and an ideal place for outings excursions, summer and winter horse riding treks and safari photographic.
In September and October week-end you can take part in apples picking, or you can taste rich autumn menus, the new wine and chestnuts on the fire. You can get your winter supply picking apples from their trees and you will have the opportunity to buy locally grown products such as: mushrooms, fruits, chesses, salami, wine and honey.
In addition, from June to September all the visitors in the Val di Sole will be able to participate, free of charge, with the activities organised by local authorities, these include: children games and activities, botanical flora and fauna studying, excursions with the Park Ranger or with the mountain guides, orienteering courses using a compass and a topographical map and finally cultural visits.
From spring to autumn in the farmhouse there are musical evenings with barbecue and grilling, either out in the open air or in a mountain cabin, and more over there are cooking courses in the traditional cuisine, beekeeping lessons, mountain-bike trips or cycling lines and you have the opportunity to follow a detailed itinerary, they also have a gym for rock climbing.
In winter you can go skiing Folgarida and Marilleva that are the closest winter resorts to our agritur (15 km by bus). Snow is guarantied, and together these places from a single skiing area which consist of over 30 ski slopes with a total length of 45 km. Both these locations are connected with a 100 km ski slope to Madonna di Campiglio. In addition, you can find the ski slopes of Pejo which are modern equipped and set in the magical and breathtaking surroundings of the Stelvio National Park. There is also the Passo del Tonale on whose glaciers you can even practice summer skiing.
A nice alternative to downhill skiing is trekking through the snow (this activity is free of charge - from the local tourist office) which you can practice on many easily accessible slopes. Finally, for those who wants to enjoy the mountains as an enchanting adventure, there is nothing better than free-lance skiing out of the slopes whit the opportunity of being accompanied by a skilled instructor. For those who don't want to ski, they also offer the possibility to trek through the local woods wearing snow shoes.
