An old farmhouse overlooks the Valle del Casentino on the edge of the Foreste Casentinesi Park. The building, near parish churches, hermitages and castles is surrounded by nature near forests that are considered to be some of the most beautiful in Europe, with fallow deer, deer and roe deer. Just a short distance from Arezzo, Florence and Siena, it is an oasis of peace and serenity where gourmets can enjoy an all natural and healthy cuisine.
The farmhouse has rooms that sleep 2, 3 or 4 people and apartments that sleep from 2 to 6; all lodgings include a private bath, TV and a splendid view of the valley.
The small family-style restaurant is only open to guests at the agritourism. It offers traditional Tuscan dishes, homemade products (like cakes and jams) and organic vegetables direct from the garden belonging to the agritourism, which produces extra virgin olive oil, zolfini beans, nuts, wild fennel and cherries.
In its panoramic position, from the lawn, solarium and the equipped pool surrounded by a rocky garden, you can enjoy sunny days surrounded by breathtaking forests and lawns along with deer, fallow deer and roe deer. There is a barbecue and an old wood-burning oven under an old loggia.
Visiting the farm can be arranged by reservation with the possibility of renting mountain bikes and quad runners for entering the forests and discovering the surrounding area. On the agritourism property and in the bordering Foreste Casentinesi Park you can take walks in the shade of the chestnuts and centuries-old forests, also accompanied by expert environmental guides. Plus, guided night visits can be organized to see the local wildlife (deer, fallow deer, roe deer, wild boar and foxes). Those who enjoy sports can take horseback rides or riding lessons and the Centro Ippico Casentino, only 15 minutes from the agritourism by car. The Tripoli Lake, for sport fishing is 5 km away and there are tennis courts and a golf course in the nearby towns of Bibbiena and Poppi.
For art and culture enthusiasts, the agritourism's central location in the Valle del Casentino allows for visits in the immediate vicinity to the Sanctuary of the Verna and the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sasso; you can admire ceramics by Della Robbia, the historic center of Bibbiena, the village of Poppi with the Conti Guidi castle, the Hermitage of Camaldoli with its medicinal pharmacy where you can purchase wholesome liqueurs and natural beauty and hygiene products, the Romanesque parish church and the castle of Romena, Stia, Pratovecchio, the castle of San Nicolò and Etruscan sites like Idoli Lake and the Etruscan altar near the Church of the Pieve in Socana.
