The agriturismo
The Fattoria Isola farm with riding stables, located 500 meters from the medieval village of Laterina, in the centre of Tuscany, covers more than 200 hectares and offers accommodation in 7 elegantly restored and furnished apartments, offering the possibility to live in the tranquillity of the countryside and to visit famous Tuscan cities of art such as Florence, Arezzo and Siena.The estate has a large swimming pool (14 by 7 m and Roman staircase) with large green spaces, football and volleyball fields and bicycles. Each of the apartments has an independent entrance and a private outdoor area allowing you to widely respect the distances required by the anti-covid regulations, in addition to the large common areas around the pool.
The accommodation
The estate Fattoria Isola, once belonging to the Grand Duke of Tuscany, is an ancient farm composed by a 1600-villa surrounded by a large park with centenary rare trees (like Spanish firtree), by a private and still consecrated chapel, by a small village and several country houses. It also has a beautiful shooting reserve populated by pheasants, hares, roebucks and wild boars.
The 7 large and elegantly furnished apartments, divided in 2 buildings and with private entrance, have been restored in the old typical Tuscan style, some of them with real antiques and with contemporary art. All of them have satellite television.
Apartments type A (2+2): Two-rooms apartment on the ground floor of about 45 square meters composed by a living room with double bed sofa, kitchen and table, by a double bedroom and by a bathroom with shower. In front of the house, you have a place to sit with table and chairs.
Apartments type B (2+2): Two-rooms apartment on the ground or first floor of about 55 square meters composed by a living room with double bed sofa, kitchen and table, by a double bedroom and by a bathroom with bath. In front of the house, you have a space to sit with table and chairs.
Apartment type C (5): Three-rooms apartment on the first floor of about 80 square meters. Entrance from the private garden with gazebo, stairs to the first floor. All furnished with antic furniture, the apartment is composed by a small livingroom with sofa (if necessary single bedsofa) , kitchen and table, by 2 bedrooms (one triple and one double) and by a large bathroom. In front of the house you have a private garden with gazebo, table and chairs.
Apartments type E (5): Three-rooms apartment on the ground floor of about 60 square meters (suitable also for handicapped people) composed by a livingroom with sofa, kitchen and table, by 2 bedrooms (one bedroom with double bed and single bed and one bedroom with 3 single beds) and by a special bathroom with shower (suitable also for handicapped people). In front of the house, you have a place to sit with table and chairs.
More over the agritourism is equipped with a swimming pool (7 by 14 meters with roman stairs, open approx. from the 15th of May to the 30th of September) surrounded by a large green area with lying chairs and sun umbrellas.
The farm produces Chianti red wine, extra virgin olive oil, mais, wheat, sunflower, vegetables and tabacco. You can buy the products directly from us.
Activities and surrounding
Out of the swimming in the pool, different kind of activities are suggested to our guests, like horse riding (possibility to organize excursions or lessons), mountain bike (possibility to rent our bikes), trekking, small football and volleyball fields, bowling-green and table tennis. A barbecue can be used by our guests.
The family is nearly always present and ready to give some advice about cultural sightseeing, restaurants and typical "trattoria" of our area. Actually, the nearby area offers a large choice of excellent restaurants with quality and reasonable prices.
The agritourism Fattoria Isola is an ideal place to discover the art cities like Arezzo (15 km), Siena (50 km), Florence (50 km), Cortona (35 km) and Rome (200 km, 1h 20min by train from Arezzo). On the same time, it is also a good place to discover the more hidden and less famous parts of our beautiful Tuscany.
It is also possible to enjoy typical tuscan food having dinner in a trattoria part of the famous Guide Slow Food. In addition you can go shooping in different outlets like Prada, Gucci, Nike,...
