The agriturismo

Michele, Maria and Lucilla are taking their father’s farm forward: they’ve chosen to farm organically and to transform the typical 19th century family villa at the heart of the Chiana Valley into guest accommodation which combines Tuscan tradition and modern comforts.

The accommodation complex is entirely enclosed and surrounded by greenery: the garden at the entrance, the shaded lawn behind the house, another large lawn surrounding the swimming pool (with solarium), the kitchen garden of aromatic herbs, the orchard and the vegetable garden (with produce available to guests).

The accommodation

Preserving many of its original materials and furnishings (Tuscan terracotta, Pietra Serena stone, liberty flooring, frescoed ceilings and period family furniture), the villa spreads over 3 floors: on the ground floor you’ll find the living area with open fireplace and TV, the dining room with large table, the well-equipped kitchen (oven, fridge, hob, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, pots and crockery), a bathroom and laundry area (washing machine, clothes horse, iron and ironing board); on the first floor a small lounge, a rustic kitchen with Pietra Serena stone fireplace and 3 bedrooms, one ensuite and 2 with shared bathroom, and on the second floor a small lounge and 4 bedrooms, 2 ensuite and 2 with shared bathroom. Of the 7 air conditioned bedrooms available, 5 are doubles and 2 have single beds, with a sofa bed available for one guest too. All bathrooms include showers.

Outside, as well as the barbecue and the pergola with tables and chairs for summer dinners, you’ll also find the old farm buildings: the wine cellar and the carriage house, the old well, the washroom and lemonary, currently used as the swimming pool changing room. Guests can enjoy ping pong, and bicycles are also provided.
