The agriturismo
In a hilly spot near the ancient medieval hamlet of Marciano della Chiana, with views of Valdichiana, the hamlets of Cortona and Castiglion Fiorentino and Montecchio castle, the agriturismo comprises of several structures (including an old frescoed villa) and is surrounded by 2 hectares of enclosed grounds, with sprawling lawns, olive groves and a wood filled with age old ash, oak and cypress trees.
The farm cultivates 11 hectares of Chianti and I.G.T. vines, and 2 hectares of olive groves, managed using eco-friendly and organically certified methods.
The accommodation
The villa is spread over two floors. On the ground floor there are 2 kitchens with dishwashers, electric ovens, microwaves, cafetières and a large fridge, 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and the washing machine.
On the first floor there are 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (one with a whirlpool bath), and 2 suites each with double bedroom, lounge with sofa bed and bathroom.
Next to the villa there is a small cottage (which may also be rented individually), comprising of a double bedroom with satellite TV, a lounge with kitchenette and a bathroom with shower.
Guests also have access to the large swimming pool. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available upon request.
