The ancient 17th century estate situated on the lush Tuscan hills set against the backdrop of the spectacular Apennines, 35 kilometres from Florence and easily reached by way of quaint country roads or the fascinating age old railway line.
Departing from the Fattoria I Ricci it is easy to reach Siena (110 km), Pisa (130 km) and Lucca (110 km).
The farm holiday is surrounded by a luxuriant park of age-old trees, which includes rare exemplars, in the middle of which we find a swimming pool with a breathtaking view of the valley below.
Olive groves and vineyards surround the estate and provide the extra-virgin olive oil and wine used to make meals in the Agriturismo tastier.

Great attention was given to the original antique structure throughout the restoration making it possible to maintain the building’s unique quality and characteristics.
The complex is composed of the Villa Padronale, the family quarters, the romantic La Casina, an early 20th century wooden structure situated near the main building, and the La Fattoria just behind that.
The sand stone steps that lead to the first floor take us to 3 Apartments and an adjoining laundry room that provides every convenience:
Apartment Pendolino (2 beds) with Living-room with Kitchen, TV, Bathroom with Shower, Double bedroom with one big double bed.
Apartment Leccino (4 beds) with a big Living-room with Kitchen and fireplace (with dish-machine) and Bed Sofa, TV, Bathroom with Shower, Double Bedroom with one big double bed and balcony, Double Bedroom with two beds.
Apartment Frantoio (4+1 beds) with a big Living-room with Kitchen and fireplace (with dish-machine) and two Sofa (one of this is Bed Sofa) and an electronic skylight, TV, Bathroom with Shower, Double Bedroom with one big double bed, Double Bedroom with two beds with an electronic skylight.
For groups of friends or big family can be rent the entire Fattoria (10+3) or Jolly (6+2) apartment joining Frantoio + Pendolino apartment.
La Casina: (2+1 beds The little wood house) was built 1920, completely independent, 42 sq yd, renovated delicately, deep in the green of the centuries old trees of the park. This is the right choice to spend a romantic holiday. Living-room with kitchen, TV, Lumber-room, Bathroom with shower, Double bedroom.
In front the entrance you find a table with chairs, so that you can eat outside.
The accurate renovation of the ground floor of the Fattoria has equipped the structure with two huge Sale furnished with fine Tuscan period pieces. These halls are available upon request for special events.
The estate was once the economic centre of the area: it had an oil mill where peasants brought olives to be ground, as well as a carpenter’s shop, a vat-room and a wine-cellar where the ancient entrance for carts still stands.
The Agriturismo also offers its guests the run of a fabulous park with age old Cedars of Lebanon, Sequoias and an enormous century old Holm oak.
Wrought iron tables and chairs adorn the park and make eating outdoors a pleasure. Barbequing is also an alternative.
And for those special moments of leisure and pleasure we can enjoy the magnificent sand stone swimming pool with its wonderful view of the valley.
The estate also includes a small playground for younger children.
