We were greeted by Señor Charles, who showed us to our room and provided all the information we needed. The room was beautiful, with wooden rafters, gorgeous antique furniture, a full-equipped kitchen, and comfortable accommodations. And there was a bottle of complimentary wine sitting on the kitchen table, which was produced on the very farm where we stayed, just on the hills outside of the window!

The breakfast exceeded our expectations - homemade breads, jams, honeys, yogurt, cereal, juice, scrambled eggs, local meats and cheeses, Italian cakes, coffee, tea - I tried it all, and trust me, everything is delicious! The señor greeted us again at breakfast and asked if we needed any information or had any questions. We did have many questions, and he patiently answered them all.

Miss Daniella was even more helpful. She printed out a bus schedule, let me use the telephone to make arrangements, she reserved a wine tasting at the castle above the fattoria (a must-do!), and went out of her way to accommodate us, always with a smiling face. We are so grateful for her help and hospitality.

The farm itself is stunning. On a hill that overlooks Tuscany. You can see the patchwork of grapevines and olive trees for miles and miles. You can take hikes. You can catch a bus into Florence, or drive to Florence in 20 minutes. You can participate in guided tours of Tuscany, arranged by Fattoria Le Mandriie. You can also have dinner on the farm, 4 courses of local foods and wine. I met some great Italian families in the dining hall.

My only regret is that we didn't stay longer! Three days are not enough. I highly recommend this place to all travelers through Tuscany. I will stay here again, that is for sure.

I enjoyed the kitchen and apartments, really cared. Florence, Volterra and San Gimignano are close: good accommodation for a week or more: what to visit and there are many. Recommend booking well in advance.
