The agriturismo
The agriturismo stands in the hills among vines and olive trees, 10 km from Florence, in the Chianti Classico region, part of the ancient hamlet of Romola, just 350 metres away.
The agriturismo is part of a farm dating back to the 1500s, which comprises 12 hectares of vines (Chianti Classico) and olive trees (PDO and PGI), producing organic red wine and extra virgin olive oil.
The property comprises 2 large farmhouses and the main villa with its historic terraced garden, which guests can visit on request.
Guided tours of wine cellars (tinaia, orciaia) and activities, exhibitions of rural tools and tasting of farm produce. Stroll among vines, olive trees, pine groves and cypress trees.
The accommodation
The agriturismo offers 4 fully renovated two-storey apartments with exposed beams, terracotta flooring and stone, all tastefully furnished: some of the beds feature wrought iron bed heads decorated with typical scenes from traditional rural life. There are ceiling fans in the bedroom and mosquito nets on all the windows.
The apartments are independent and surrounded by private green space with tables, chairs and umbrellas.
Nestled in the green olive groves, you’ll find the large swimming pool (7 x 14 m, 1.40-1.20 m deep) with its spacious, fully-equipped solarium (130 m2) and enclosed green space.
There are private parking spaces (also undercover) and a communal laundry room (token-operated) with an iron and ironing board. There is also a portable barbecue.
Activities and surrounding
Florence is accessible by bus (bus stop 350 m away), while a short walk takes you to the hamlet of Romola.
2 km takes you to the hamlet of Cerbaia where you’ll find all the facilities you could need, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a riding centre, mountain bikes and fishing. 7 km takes you to a golf course, hot air balloon rides and traditional wagon tours. 5 km takes you to San Casciano. The Tavernaccia nature park is 2 km away.
