The agriturismo
Fattoria I Veroni is about 10 km far from Florence surrounded by sangiovese vineyards and overlooking Tuscan hills. We have five apartments, one with access for disabled, decorated with typical Italian style, so our farm houses will be your perfect holiday destination, I Veroniis quiet place to relax, close to the city center.
Our Agritourism location offers some opporutinity: fishing, horse riding, simply walk in beautiful Rufina and Casentino mountains, a protected nature reserve. We are also close to Siena, one hour driving and about the same by train. Full immersion in I Veroni winery is real added value of our estate, we produce high quality extravirgin olive oil and wines so we are very pleased to offer wine tours and tastings which may help you to know real Tuscan way of life and traditional DOCG. During your accommodation our hills and our products will be a company you’ll probably never forget!
The accommodation
History: the agricultural complex "I Veroni" in the Middle Ages was part of a huge feud that Guidi owned and controlled in the valleys of the rivers Arno and Sieve. The main building of the farm was originally a watch tower, which no longer visible because of the changes over the centuries that have led to the current structure. By the years the property passed from Earls Guidi to the noble family Gatteschi in the eighteenth century, and then to Modigliani. In the end of the last century the proprety was bought by Charles Malesci, whose family is still the owners.
Structure: in 2007 we finished the restoration of the farmhouse "Podere del Pianottolo”. The selection of furniture and interior decoration for each apartment, testifies the strong interest to preserve these antique agricultural places of past peasant life to their original values, places that should always be remembered as they were in origin. So now Farm I VERONI can welcome its guests in 5 comfortable and stylish farm houses surrounded in a charming and unique Tuscan landscape dominated by vineyards of Chianti Rufina.
Apartments: all apartments are furnished with extreme attention, every room has its own style, sober and comfortable, so you will find something that distinguishes each apartment. Hounting House: 5 beds (2 double rooms and 1 single room), 2 bathrooms, kitchen, large dining room with fire place, private garden; Gli Archetti: beds (2 double room and 1 single room), 2 bathrooms, large dining room, kitchen, private garden; La Cisterna: 4 beds (1 double room and 1 room with 2 single beds), 2 bathrooms, large dining room with kitchen, private garden; La Tinaia (Winery): 4 beds (1 double room and 1 room with 2 single beds), 2 bathrooms, large dining room with kitchen, private garden; La Stalla (the old Stable): 4 beds (1 double room and 1 room with 2 single beds), 2 bathrooms, large dining room/kitchen, private garden; every apartment overlooks a courtyard, a few steps separate it from the pool, just built. It has a splendid view over the valley and is surrounded by olive trees of our farm, equipped with deckchairs, sun umbrellas and water games for children. Services: in all the apartments fridge, microwave, toaster, TV, Wi-Fi connection to internet, air conditioning, firewood. On request: little bed for children DVD player, DVD with the most famous children's cartoon, highchairs, babysitting, breakfast. Outside: tables, chairs and sun umbrellas BBQ. Covered area for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
