The agriturismo
Il Trebbio is a small family farm where we grow olives and grapes and where we produce wine and olive oil. It is 25 km from Florence and close to Vallombrosa Forest. It is located in a peaceful position, with beautiful views over the countryside, an ideal place for people looking for a relaxing holyday.
The accommodation
Trebbio is a farm 15 ha extended where we produce wine and olive oil and where we lodge our guest with familiar spirit and cordiality. It is located inside a natural park where is very easy meet wild animals as pheasants, porcupines, wild boars, hares, deer. We have developed activity of Agriturismo since 1995 and we like to do it to the insignia of the cordiality and with spirit of friendship. For our guests we have renovated with care respecting the style and the surrounding environment, 4 apartments and 1 independent double room. The accommodations are inside two separate face-to-face buildings over the sides of a large courtyard: an ancient farmhouse and an old barn recently renovated.
The ancient farmhouse is an 11th century old Monastery used by Vallombrosani Monks that many renovations and modifications have transformed in the actual forms and dimension during the ages. Besides our residence, we have carried out an apartment that we have restructured maintaining intact the original spaces, to preserve the spirit and the nature of the house and its history, and furnished with furniture in style. It is ample and spacious, so suitable for numerous families or small groups of friends. Inside the renovated barn, we drew three apartments and the independent double room. Also in this case we have respected the large size comfort and used traditionally Tuscany solutions as wood and old style bricks and tiles. Independent entrance and single heating system, are useful of each apartment and every apartments look onto the large and not separate surrounding building garden, where the locations have their own table and chairs to organize small outdoor party.
Two barbecues and a pizza oven are allocated in the garden too. Our guests could use a common dinning room at the ground floor of the farmhouse where organize meeting or large dinner all together and where test our products as Chianti, Extra virgin olive oil, IGT red and white wines, Vin Santo DOC.
