Podere Le Rondini offers self-catering apartments with kitchen suitable for couples or large groups.Groups of up to 30 people may rent the whole estate. Podere Le rondini is located in the heart of the Chianti region, in the open countryside, 800 metres far from the small village of Poppiano (where you may visit the ancient Poppiano Castle that dates back to the X century).The farmhouse is immersed in the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside, mid-way between Florence and Siena. Our Colonica Villa may accommodate up to 21 people in 9 bedrooms. The Villa has also got 10 bathrooms (one inside each bedroom, plus a 10th bathroom next to the dining room to use as a “service bathroom”), 3 livingrooms (two of them with fireplace), 2 small kitchens (we call them “service kitchens”) plus one very large and fully equipped third kitchen placed next to a diningroom able to seat at table up to 21 people (for groups larger than 21, at groundfloor, next to this large diningroom, there is also a smaller diningroom for 8/9 people more). Two private gardens are also at your private disposal, equipped with tables, chairs, BBQs. AIR CONDITIONING in EACH ROOM (including kitchens and livingrooms). Free hi-speed Wi-Fi. Each bathroom is provided with an hair-dryer, too.

By the way, we also remind you that, larger groups may rent the whole estate Podere Le Rondini that consists of 13 bedrooms (9 bedrooms inside the Colonica Villa and 4 bedrooms inside the Fienile Cottage), able to accommodate up to 30 people, all in beds.

But, because sometimes we are asked to accommodate families from 6 to 14 people inside the Colonica Villa, then on request we may close some bedrooms in order to rent only a part of the Villa and so, in a few words, obtaining fully private apartments for 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 people out of the whole Colonica Villa.

Beside the main COLONICA VILLA (with 9 bedrooms), we also rent the FIENILE COTTAGE which is a small building/cottage made of 2 cozy suites/apartments, each one with 2 bedrooms (so, in total, inside the Fienile Cottage there are 4 bedrooms).

The 2 cozy suites/apartments are called CIPRESSO and ACERO. They may be rented separately for families of 4/5 people or all together for families of 8/9 people. However ACERO and CIPRESSO are completely independent units, each one with its own private entrance and patio/garden and they cannot be connected internally. So each family is assured a full privacy, with their own private entrance and outdoor space. Each cozy suite, together with 2 large bedrooms, is made of 2 bathrooms (one bathroom in each bedroom), a kitchen (fully equipped), a livingroom, a private outdoor space equipped with table, chairs, bbq for relaxing or dining “al fresco”.

For couples or family of 3 people, we also offer a smaller extra suite called CIPUNO with one bedroom only (plus one kitchen, a livingarea, a bathroom).

Each accommodation has got a fully equipped kitchen and each bedroom has a private bathroom inside the bedroom. Each bathroom is provided with an hair-dryer, too. All the accommodations are very large, bright and comfortable.

All the units are fully air-conditioned! Free use of the sun-beds/umbrellas at the panoramic swimmingpool.

If needed, we may provide for free baby-beds/cribs/cots and highchairs, while a baby-sitting service is an extra to pay for.

For 4 persons are available the apartments called CIPRESSO, ACERO and CAPANNA.

CAPANNA is made of a double-bedroom, a twin-bedroom, 2 bathrooms (each one with shower, WC, bidet, basin, one of them is suitable for handicapped people), one living/dining-room with sofas, Digital-Terrestrial-Television (DTT) and with a fully equipped kitchen with 4-rings-stove, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Italian-moka-machine, toaster, kettle, American-coffee-machine. Private heating. Private shady garden, equipped with BBQ, tables and chairs in order to relax or organize dinners or parties. WI-FI Internet connection in each room. AIR CONDITIONING.

ACERO is made of 2 double bedrooms (of which one may be changed with 2 twin beds; one may be changed in a triple on request), 2 bathrooms (each one with shower, bidet, wc, basin), a large livingroom with a working fireplace made of stones, a closet, a kitchen fully equipped with all you need to cook and with stove, fridge, freezer, dish-washer, microwave, moka (Italian Coffe-Maker), toaster, kettle, American-coffee-machine. Digital-Terrestrial-Television (DTT). Private heating. Private shady garden, equipped with BBQ, tables and chairs in order to relax or organize dinners or parties. WI-FI  Internet connection .AIR CONDITIONING.

6/7 people may rent the apartment TRECIE or the apartment TERRA. Each one is made of 3 double-bedrooms (or twins on request; one may be changed into a triple on request), 3 bathrooms (shower, WC, bidet, basin), one living/dining-room with sofas, Digital-Terrestrial-Television (DTT) and a working fireplace and with a fully equipped kitchen with 4-rings-stove, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Italian-moka-machine, toaster, kettle, American-coffee-machine. Private heating. WI-FI HighSpeed Internet connection in each room (both options are available).AIR CONDITIONING in each room.

7-8 persons may rent the whole FIENILE COTTAGE alone. FIENILE is made of the two apartments called ACERO and CIPRESSO described above.

10-11 people may rent the apartment CIELO, placed at the first-floor of our Colonica Villa. It is made of 5 double-bedrooms (or twins on request, one may be changed into a triple bedroom on request), 5 bathrooms (shower, WC, bidet, basin), one living/dining-room with sofas, Digital-Terrestrial-Television (DTT) and a working fireplace and with a fully equipped kitchen with 4-rings-stove, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Italian-moka-machine, toaster, kettle, American-coffee-machine. Private heating. Private shady garden placed at the CIELO’s entrance at ground-floor, equipped with BBQs, tables and chairs in order to relax or organize dinners or parties. WI-FI  Internet connection in each room . AIR CONDITIONING in each room.

12/14 people may rent the apartment CAPACIE. It is an apartment on two levels: at ground-floor you have a very large dining-room able to accommodate the whole group of persons, with a fully equipped kitchen with 4-rings-stove, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Italian-moka-machine, toaster, kettle, American-coffee-machine. From the dining-room, you have access to a private shady garden equipped with BBQs, tables and chairs in order to relax or organize dinners or parties. At ground-floor, you also have 1 double-bedroom (that may be changed into a triple-bedroom on request) and 2 bathrooms (each one with shower, WC, bidet, basin, one of them is suitable for handicapped people). At the upper-floor you have 5 double-bedrooms (or twins on request, one may be changed into a triple bedroom on request), 5 bathrooms (shower, WC, bidet, basin), one living/dining-room with sofas, Digital-Terrestrial-Television (DTT) and a working fireplace and with a second (smaller) kitchen with 4-rings-stove, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Italian-moka-machine, toaster, kettle, American-coffee-machine. Large groups from 16 to 22 people may rent in full privacy the whole COLONICA VILLA, described above.

GROUPS of 30 people may rent the whole estate .

At all guests’ disposal there are: private parking places; a swimming-pool 15×7,5 metres large with fitness area ; an aesthetician for beauty treatments and massages.

Specific measures & practices FOR HEALTH AND HYGIENE implemented at Podere Le Rondini include:

Hand hygiene: washing hands correctly and frequently is essential to combat the spread of viruses. This simple gesture or practice is of primary importance for everybody’s health.

Health, safety and training of our collaborators and staff: on a daily base, we work very hard in order to ensure the safety of our staff. Furthermore, the staff has been specifically trained regarding the COVID-19, in order to achieve the maximum effectiveness of our cleaning and health plan.
That's why we also implement a constant staff training: the cleaning department and the whole staff are trained with an advanced preparation addressed to the health and safety practices against COVID-19.

Products and modus operandi:
• Rooms: thorough careful cleaning and disinfestation of each room before the arrival and on the departure of each guest, with particular attention addressed to objects or items that are touched with an higher frequency, such as door-handles, TV remote controls and so on.
• Common spaces/areas: common areas are carefully cleaned and disinfected, with particular attention addressed to the elements and furnishings which are being touched more frequently or with greatest attendance, such as railings, reception-desk, door-handles, public toilets, room keys.
• Areas closed to clients (‘staff only’ areas): extreme care in cleaning is as well dedicated to places and areas frequented by the staff only, such as reserved entrances, changing rooms or warehouses

From typical flavors to horseback riding, from the traditional grape harvest to the possibility of booking for you tickets to the Uffizi Museum or the Accademia Museum in Florence, so you can avoid long waiting lines and comfortably admire the medieval and renaissance art of Tuscany: these are some of the activities and services offered for guests of Podere Le Rondini.

Horseback riding and riding school: to this day, Chianti remains one of the most fascinating areas in terms of landscape and nature. To get to know this area from a privileged perspective, it is possible to go horseback riding: in fact, just a few minutes from the farmhouse there is also a riding school, where adults and children can ride: those who do not know how to ride and beginners can take lessons in a corral. Those who already know how to ride will be able to take hour-long rides, about an hour and a half, in the beautiful setting of the Florentine Chianti.
Those who are experienced will be able to make arrangements directly on site for longer rides.

Harvesting Grapes and Olive : At Podere Le Rondini it is possible to witness one of the highlights of late Tuscan summer: the grape harvest. A few weeks later, on the other hand, when the cold weather sets in, the olive picking takes place. Occasional participation is free for these occasions: for those interested, we recommend clothing suitable for the countryside, such as jeans and comfortable, dirt shoes or, better yet, rubber boots (it's all about going into the fields).

Wellness: a professional beautician, with many years of experience, is available to perform massages and treatments at our facility.

Families with children: the farm is also particularly popular with families with children. In the immediate vicinity, in fact, there are some really fun parks and places of interest where they can spend cheerful afternoons.

Located in the heart of Chianti, in the open countryside, the farmhouse is just 800 meters from the village of Poppiano, known for its famous 10th-century castle, which you can visit.We are about 25 km from Florence, 45 km from Siena and 30 km from San Gimignano. The nearest airport is Florence-Amerigo Vespucci (25 km). Pisa's Galileo Galilei airport (70 km) is also relatively close.
