The agriturismo
At the Agriturismo Poggio di Sotto, composed of 2 florentine style farm houses we will offer our Guests a warm welcome ensuring quality service for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Only a few kilometers from the motorway exit Barberino and 30 kilometers from Florence, you can find us in the village of Galliano in the heart of the Mugello Region.
The accommodation
All 9 rooms, each different in size and with its own original features dispose of a private bathroom with shower, telephone, television and free ADSL connection ensuring our Guests a quiet and comfortable stay. Two rooms have a small balcony overlooking the Mugello valley, which allows you to enjoy breakfast in your room or an evening aperitif during the hotter days of summer looking at beautiful tuscan landscape. Each room has the possibility of a double bed or twin beds and extra beds or cots are available for families.
Smaller groups or large families will appreciate our farmhouse Ribottini; only a few km from the main farmhouse and immersed in the countryside it is ideal for our Guests who like to enjoy a relaxing holiday and appreciate the nature that Mugello offers.
Not only for breakfast but also for lunch or dinner our Restaurant La Casa di Caccia is a place where food lovers will find simple but typical dishes of our region and a reception that is characterized by professionalism and good taste. Mirella will help you to choose among homemade pasta as Tortelli di patate al ragù (stuffed pasta parcels with potato with meat sauce) or Ravioli di scamorza al tartufo (stuffed pasta parcels with cheese and a truffle sauce) and some typical tuscan specialities such as the Bistecca fiorentina (florentine T-bone steak), la Tagliata (sliced steak served in various ways) or a classical spit roast (to be ordered before hand). You can also enjoy dishes such as Cinghiale al Barolo (wild boar in barolo wine), Capriolo in crema (venison with cream), Anatra in salsa piccante (duck with spicy sauce), Coniglio ripieno (stuffed rabbit) and many other delicious dishes. For weddings, parties and banquets we will prepare a creative and personalized menu. Our restaurant is designed to accommodate groups up to 70 people, being near the Motorway and disposing of a large car park.
