The agriturismo

The farmhouse is located in a wild area of Maremma , along the Montecucco wine road, 30 km from Grosseto, 50 from Siena and 6 from Paganico, among fields and forests of oak trees that descend to the Lanzo stream where you can fish and swim.

 

Organic farm that raises buffaloes and goats. Vineyard, olive grove, pastures, cereals.

Here live a young farmer and a mother artist-tanguero that with passion try to offer to the traveller a genuine hospitality.

Ideal for holidays in the nature in contact with the animals of the farm: children can bring carrots to the goats, watch the buffalo ruminating, caress cats and dogs, hear the "songs" of the hen that lays eggs, admire the peacock.

The farm houses the permanent exhibition of the painter and sculptor Hamuda.

The accommodation

The farmhouse has 4 accommodations: 2 rooms and 1 studio apartment overlook the large porch, an apartment on the first floor.

Country: inspired by the countryside, it has a large iron double bed and a single bed in wicker, an old wardrobe and paintings that speak of trees, silence, fire and earth.

Mandela: atmosphere of the African continent, 19th century style double bed, writing desk, tribal rugs, ceramic masks and paintings that narrate the depths of the earth.

Minosse: everything with the colors of the sky, the sea, the summer night. The atmosphere is captured in the large double bed in olive wood with the headboard made and painted by hand.

Amadeus: furniture from the end of the 19th century brought back to life in bright colours, in the kitchen the sunny yellow of the cupboard, in the small bedroom the tones of the summer woods, in the double bedroom the warmth of red and the strength of the "materials" present in the "painted" Madonna.

Activities and surrounding

Just 10 minutes away are the sulphurous thermal baths of Petriolo and a little further away is the Regional Reserve along the icy Farma stream among natural pools and endless waterfalls.

The noble Siena with its intact medieval appearance.

The panoramic town of Montalcino on top of a hill between the valleys of two rivers, famous for its wine.

For mountain lovers, Monte Amiata with its ski slopes and bike park.

Heading towards the sea the ruins of Roselle, one of the most important cities of northern Etruria with Etruscan, Roman and medieval remains. Here in summer, in the remains of the Roman amphitheatre, Shakespeare relives his tragedies.

And then Grosseto with its intact bastioned walls, erected by the Medici in the 16th century, which can still be visited in a pleasant and suggestive "high" walk of about half an hour.

To the north of the sea there is the fashionable Castiglione della Pescaia and to the south the Maremma Natural Park at Alberese with its walking, cycling and horse-riding routes right down to the sea.

And then there is theArgentario with its pinewoods, beaches, cliffs, Porto Ercole and Porto S. Stefano, boarding point for the islands of Giglio and Giannutri .

Pitigliano, picturesque town of the '300 for centuries capital of a county of Orsini, located on a tufa spur between deep ravines.
