The agriturismo
At the foot of Mount Amiata, on the hillside in a scenic position, the farm is surrounded by the green of the Tuscan Maremma and extends from the community of Poggi del Sasso to the banks of the Ombrone river, along the Montecucco Wine Route.
Surrounded by unspoilt nature, but not overly isolated, the agriturismo is just a few metres along a private road from the main "strada provinciale" road, a stone’s throw from a minimarket, a medical centre and a newsagent.
The accommodation
The agriturismo is structured in several buildings: a central wing – that houses some of the accommodation, a beauty and relaxation zone and a workshop room – two independent small villas immersed in the green and a large restaurant, with suggestive mezzanine floor, which can also be used for events, ceremonies and conferences.
By reservation, the restaurant offers menus based on its own products or those from surrounding farms in the Maremma area. Dishes are prepared then and there, guaranteeing a homely, wholesome cuisine. Guests can enjoy recipes based on truffles, wild boar, roe deer and can take advantage of food theme evenings.
The 15-metre outdoor swimming pool is open from May through to the end of September; this fully-equipped pool is accessible to children, has a solarium and a scenic view over the splendid hillsides of the Tuscan Maremma. It is fitted with a continuous water recycling system and a special eco-friendly sand filtering system. An attractive kiosk supplies cold drinks and wholesome snacks.
The small but fully equipped gym for Fitness and Body Building is situated right alongside the pool and adjoins the spa room with a whirlpool tub for 2-3 people, beds for relaxing treatments and a sun terrace.
Activities and surrounding
The Maremma is distinguished by a great variety of territories, environments and ecosystems, which make is a truly unique zone in Italy and particularly interesting abroad as well, with its hills, the sea, the mountains, the lakes and the singular lagoon of Orbetello. Fine quality DOC wines – Sovana Rosso and Morellino di Scansano (red), Bianco di Pitigliano (white), Monteregio di Massa Marittima (a dessert wine) – and GPI oils.

I have been managing Le pianacce since 2009 along with my family.
As well as we cook for the guests, we welcome the guests, we rear the animals.
It was a desire to to pursue a passion which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests' favourite thing about Le pianacce is the food.
