The agriturismo

This family run farm is located at the heart of the Maremma, surrounded by Scansano vines used to produce the outstanding Morellino wine.

The perfect place to spend a holiday among nature, in the peace and quiet of the hills. As well as producing wine, the farm is also extremely proud of the animals it rears.

At Lo Ziro, guests experience all the rhythms and activities of authentic country life.

The accommodation

Guest accommodation is provided in three comfortable rooms, ideal for families with children, groups of friends (La Vite, a triple room), couples looking for a romantic getaway (La Viola Mammola), or simply for those looking for a peaceful stay among nature (L'Olmo). L’Olmo and La Vite are both accessible to disabled guests.

 

The adjacent restaurant offers delicious wholesome local delicacies and dishes prepared using the farm's own seasonal ingredients.

For guests travelling with their own horses, stables are available.

 

Activities and surrounding

The large garden is the ideal place for your children to play in total safety. Guests can get involved in farming activities, in a world filled with passion, where everything happens at its own pace, get up close with the animals, or stroll along the nearby river, a lovely place to bathe in summer.

In the evening the sky is spectacular, and the farm is the ideal place to admire it away from light pollution. Just a short distance takes you to the Saturnia spa centre and the coast, and to a host of hamlets such as Scansano and Montemerano. Also worth a visit are the local museums and Etruscan sites such as Ghiaccio Forte, which offers stunning views of the Argentario coast, as well as Mount Amiata and the Uccellina Park.
