The agriturismo
The family-run agriturismo is part of an organic farm, certified for over 20 years, consisting of 5 hectares of olive groves and as many of crops, including, in rotation, Senatore Cappelli wheat (an antique grain), spelt, legumes and more. The small orchard and vegetable garden provide the ingredients for the farm’s jams.
In the tranquillity of the countryside, enjoy breakfasts and dinners of the farm’s own and other zero mile produce, as you relax and discover the Maremma’s fine food and wine, and explore its natural beauty, from spa centres to the sea, nature reserves and historic hamlets.
The accommodation
Each of the 5 double rooms, with private bathroom and independent entrance, boasts a small fridge, TV, fan and hairdryer. All guests also have access to the large sunny garden, board games and table football. Wi-Fi is available throughout the rooms and outside space.
Breakfast and meals (with packed lunches available upon request) are served in a separate building, all homemade with care and passion, using the farm’s own and other zero mile produce. For dinner there’s a set menu featuring an ever-changing selection of typical Maremma dishes.
Activities and surrounding
Within half an hour you’ll find Monte Argentario, Capalbio, the sea, the Maremma nature park with its scenic trails through beautiful landscape, the Saturnia spa centre and a wealth of historic hamlets. In the summer months you can enjoy a Giannutri-Giglio mini cruise and visit the Giardino dei Tarocchi (Tarot Garden), a one-of-a-kind creation by Niki De Saint Phalle.
In spring and autumn, guests can enjoy free, scheduled guided tours of the characteristic hamlets around the agriturismo: Magliano in Toscana, Città di Cosa, Vulci, Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano, Porto Ercole and Capo d'Uomo.
