The agriturismo
On the slopes of Mount Amiata, it is a typical Tuscan farmhouse from the 1800s that has been completely renovated, immersed in a 20-hectare estate of pastures, crops and unspoiled countryside.
At 900 m above sea level, the farmhouse enjoys a splendid panorama from the mountains to the sea and always gives strong emotions to nature lovers. Isolated place, possibility of trekking, walks in the woods, absolute relaxation. The place with reduced light pollution, ideal for astronomy enthusiasts. Large outdoor spaces in the farm grounds for amateur use of drones. Possibility of smart working with free Wi-fi available.
The accommodation
Guests can choose to stay in one of the 3 ground-floor apartments, with independent entrance and garden: Alba offers living room with use of kitchen, 2 beds, bathroom; Monte offers living room with use of kitchen and fireplace, 4 beds; Panorama offers living room with use of kitchen, lounge with fireplace, 6 beds and double bathroom.
The lodgings, also are completely independent and separate and without internal common areas; before each delivery to guests, they undergo careful cleaning and sanitization according to procedures provided in recent National and Regional guidelines in order to minimize the Covid-19 risk for our guests and managers.
1500 m. from the farmhouse, in the hamlet of Pescina, you can find typical restaurants, tennis and soccer fields , splendid pond for amateur sport fishing.
Activities and surrounding
Poggiobello is an ideal place for relaxation and hiking or biking, in the estate's grounds or in the woods surrounding Mount Amiata, via a guided trail that from the farmhouse makes it easy to reach Prato delle Macinaie and Prato della Contessa, encountering local wildlife. Astrophiles can set up telescopes in the meadow of the farmhouse and enjoy the low light pollution. Large open spaces in the farm grounds for amateur drone use.
Within half an hour you can reach the characteristic Crete Senesi, Montalcino, Pienza and the entire Val d'Orcia, and also the spa areas of Bagno di Vignoni, Bagno San Filippo, Saturnia; an hour'scar is the Grosseto coast with Marina di Grosseto, Castiglione della Pescaia and Principina; the Maremma offers daily itineraries to visit the Uccellina Regional Park, Argentario, Orbetello lagoon, wine-producing areas and other places of cultural interest.
