The agriturismo
Between Marina di Grosseto and Castiglione della Pescaia, welcomed with care by the owners, in a well-preserved environmental context, guests will find a bio-architecture with wide spaces, powered by a wind system and a geothermal one based on a wind pump - today the logo of the company - icon of the Maremma, which was once reclaimed with these spectacular plants.
Dogs are really welcome; however, there is one fundamental rule and that is that they cannot be left alone in the accommodation if their owners are not in the farm.
The restaurant offers typical dishes with homemade pasta and desserts, vegetables from the garden, local products at km 0 and pizza.
The accommodation
The farmhouse has rooms and apartments, with simple and essential furniture, with ceiling in chestnut beams. Each room overlooks the garden with pool view and has an independent porch with table and chairs, bathroom with shower, TV, small fridge, hairdryer and air conditioning. The farm, which deliberately does not have Wi-Fi or wellness centers, is ideal for those who want to live fully nature, pampered by scents and sea breeze and the croaking of frogs in the pond.
Breakfasts and meals are served in a large indoor hall in winter with fireplace and in summer under the porch surrounded by olive trees. The dishes are simple and genuine: breakfast with homemade cakes, toasted bread, homemade jams, yogurt and juices; lunches and dinners based on homemade pasta, meat at km 0,organic vegetables.
Activities and surrounding
The sea is around 1 km away, accessible on foot or by bike. The surrounding area offers a host of different activities: windsurfing, kitesurfing, diving, sailing, visits to the islands of Giglio, Elba and Giannutri – and trips to historic locations such as Vetulonia, Massa Marittima, San Galgano, Pitigliano and Saturnia. Or why not visit the Maremma Nature Park, with its trails to explore and crystal-clear sea, Capalbio with its Giardino dei Tarocchi (Tarot Garden), or Boccheggiano with its Giardino dei Suoni (Garden of Sounds)?
