The agriturismo
The rural complex that constitutes the agritourism company dates back to the early 1900s and originally served as the "farm center" of a large farm of over 100 ha. The recovery and renovation of the buildings was guided by a criterion of maximum respect for the building tradition of the area and the rural Maremma building types, preserving the perception of their original function.
There is covered parking , laundry area with washing machine and a large soccer field .
Possibility to buy locally produced olive oil, fruits and vegetables from neighboring farms.
The accommodation
The owners of the farm have ensured that the accommodation retains as much as possible an aesthetic-emotional impact, evocative of an ancient rural world just a few steps from the sea.
Guests are welcomed in spacious accommodations, large bathrooms with windows, well-equipped kitchens, heating, satellite TV, furnished with restored period furniture. The ground-floor apartments have a pitch or veranda. Two of the first-floor accommodations have a furnished terrace, the others can use the large garden.
The property, which has a cozy room with a fireplace, serves typical Tuscan cuisine in the restaurant run directly by the owners. The farmhouse restaurant is open for dinner from late May to September, Thursday through Sunday. Upon request, the property is available to organize corporate dinners or for special occasions, every day of the week throughout the year, for a minimum of 30 people (graduation parties, weddings, birthdays, confirmations and communions). In a familiar, warm and cozy environment with a few tables, menus are offered differentiated from time to time, set on thematic strands, but composed of a few dishes, freshly cooked, very carefully prepared, based on fresh food selected within the framework of locally or regionally sourced products.
The choice of wines gives preference to wineries with established traditions that use indigenous grape varieties, as opposed to those of recent creation that respond only to market criteria of image and standardization of taste.
The exterior of the receptive structure is surrounded by tall trees for pleasant coolness even in the hottest periods, and of border hedges to delimit the various areas and the internal road system. Large green spaces are available to guests for outdoor activities.
Activities and surrounding
The farmhouse is located 3 km from the sea in an area of scenic, tourist and gastronomic interest. From here it is possible to reach Rimigliano Park: kilometers of free beach and uncontaminated sea, from the torraccia to San Vincenzo, for romantic walks along the marina.
Another attraction not to be missed is the Gulf of Baratti and Populoni, a protected restricted area, and The Calidario thermal lake , set in a highly evocative context. For fans of medieval villages, Campiglia Marittima is a must-visit.
Easily accessible are supermarkets, post office, ATMs, pharmacy and various stores, amusement parks and other attractions. About 2 km away is the Caldana Thermal Park, which has 2 heated pools inside, with which it is possible to have conventions.
